Ruby came to me wanting to feel strong, confident, and in shape for her wedding day. New to strength training, we focused on building her foundations through proper technique, progressive overload, and cardio for fat loss. When her weight didn’t change after the first month, we had to look beyond exercise alone. Her body was in survival mode, fighting to hold onto what it was used to. We then looked at her nervous system, making sure she was recovering between sessions, eating ENOUGH and getting the supplements she needed. This holistic approach helped Ruby lose 10kg, build strength and confidence and a new love for movement. Esther's hypermobility, hypothyroidism, and sciatica meant she needed guidance to exercise safely and effectively while taking all three conditions into account. Due to her hypermobility, her proprioception (body awareness) is reduced, making controlled movement and joint stability more challenging. Through consistent coaching, repeated movement cues, and a focus on slow, controlled exercise, Esther has developed significantly greater precision and control in her movement, helping to reduce what she calls her ´clumsiness´ in other words, her risk of falls and injuries. Exercise is widely recommended for both hypothyroidism and sciatica when appropriately adapted to the individual's limitations. Since beginning her training program, Esther has noticed a clear improvement in her energy levels and a significant reduction in pain. In fact, her sciatica has improved to the point where she rarely experiences symptoms anymore. Jacob and Ignacio are a couple I train individually, each starting from very different places but making equally strong progress. Jacob came with a background in CrossFit and marathon running, looking for a more structured, progressive plan to break through plateaus and improve performance. Ignacio was newer to the gym, feeling nervous and needing a supportive, non-intimidating environment to build confidence. Jacob progressed from band-assisted pull-ups to unassisted and now weighted pull-ups, while also improving strength, mobility, and smashing his marathon-goal. Ignacio has built significant strength and muscle, but mostly a huge increase in his confidence, resilience, and trust in his body.
